Running your School as a Business - 16th October 2012 -Newport

In today’s economic climate which is adversely affecting school budgets, the importance of generating additional income and maximising procurement efficiencies has never been more necessary for schools.

Schools need to take a fresh look at themselves as a business and maximise opportunities.  This seminar will look at how to run your school as a business and will concentrate on:

  • Facility Utilisation – take a look at what facilities your school can offer to the wider community to generate additional income
  • Business Partnerships - A business partnership, in the form of a business society, is a valuable relationship that most importantly benefits students. Schools benefit from partnerships by receiving untapped resources, which enhance curricular programs, while businesses benefit by having direct input into the educational experience, their future work force, and the satisfaction of active community involvement. As budget constraints continue to impact on schools, the importance of business partnerships is critical.
  • 50:50 Club – explore the idea of introducing a 50:50 club into school and the wider community to provide non restricted funds.
  • Meet a small number of suppliers sponsoring this event to explore procurement savings
This seminar, which will introduce innovative ideas for income generation, runs from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday 16th October  2012.  Heads, School Business Managers, Bursars and those responsible for procurement are encouraged to attend this event.  The cost of this event is £50 per person to include light lunch with sponsors.
You can book your place today by completing the online application form , sending an email to enquiries@income-generation.co.uk or by calling 07776 300816
